Small business website design that brings in enquiries, not just compliments.

For established small and medium businesses whose website no longer matches the quality of the business, or that gets visitors but too few enquiries. It suits service businesses, construction and property companies and B2B firms, where the website often does the selling before anyone picks up the phone.

Mr Gates / a new website →

We design and build websites for UK small and medium businesses, from £999 plus VAT as a one-off project. Each site is planned around what your customers search for, written to explain what you do and why you’re worth calling, built on WordPress for speed and search, and set up to track every enquiry. Most take 4 to 12 weeks.

The problems we fix

“Our website looks dated next to the work we actually do.”

What we do

A new design and structure built around your best work, your services and the questions buyers ask before they call.

What changes

The site finally looks like the business you’ve become.

“We get visitors, but hardly anyone gets in touch.”

What we do

A clear next step on every page, forms that work properly on a phone, and tracking that shows where people give up.

What changes

Visitors know exactly what to do next, and you can see which pages produce enquiries.

“It’s slow on a phone and there’s nowhere to add anything.”

What we do

A fast WordPress build with a structure that has room for the pages you’ll want later.

What changes

A website that keeps up with the business instead of holding it back.

The difference, on our own website

The fairest before-and-after we can show you is our own. This is dcdigital.uk before the rebuild and after it, measured the same way both times.

What’s included in every website

Planned around search and the buyer

Before we design anything, we look at what your customers search for, what they need to know before they get in touch, and what your competitors are doing. That decides which pages the site needs.

  • Keyword research
  • Site structure
  • Competitor review
  • AI-assisted research, checked by a person

Design and copy

A design built from your brand and your real work, and copy that says what you do, who it’s for and why you’re worth calling. We write it; you check it.

  • Design
  • Copywriting
  • Calls to action

Built on WordPress, built to rank

Fast, accessible and ready for search from day one: clean structure, internal linking, schema and the technical basics done properly. A site built to rank is half the job of SEO services; the other half is what you do with it next.

  • WordPress
  • Technical SEO
  • Accessibility

Tracking, forms and enquiries

Enquiry forms that work, conversion tracking in Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager, and a link to your CRM where you have one, so you can see where every enquiry came from.

  • GA4
  • Tag Manager
  • CRM integration

Every site includes all four, from the starting price of £999 plus VAT upwards. The price rises with the number of pages, the depth of design, how much we write and any integrations or advanced features; larger projects and portals are quoted individually. If the brief is simply “as cheap as possible”, we’re probably not the right fit. If it’s “a website that earns its keep”, we should talk. See all our prices.

Hosting and maintenance

Hosting, maintenance and support

For website clients, we offer hosting, ongoing maintenance and support after launch, so the site stays up to date and someone you know is on hand when something needs changing. It’s quoted with your website, because what it involves depends on the site you have.

A website catches demand. SendIQ creates it.

A new website makes the most of the people already looking for you. SendIQ, our outbound service, goes out to the companies most likely to buy and gives them a reason to look.

Your first 30 days

A clearer plan for your new website

Before a new design, we need to agree what the site should do and what customers need to see.

This is an outline for the first month, not a fixed delivery timetable. We agree the sequence around your scope, access and approvals. Some work will continue beyond it.

  1. Set the brief

Work through your customers, services and enquiry goals. Review the current site and agree what needs to stay, change or go.

  2. Plan the pages

Map the structure and outline the copy. Identify the photographs, project details and account access needed for the build.

  3. Review the direction

Develop the agreed design direction and review it with you. Confirm the next build steps and who signs off the content.

Is this the right starting point?

A useful starting point if your site no longer explains the business, is awkward on a phone or makes enquiries difficult. If the site works well but too few people find it, SEO or advertising may be the earlier priority.

Questions about websites

All FAQs →

Our websites start from £999 plus VAT, as a one-off project. The price depends mostly on the number of pages, the depth of design, how much content needs writing and any integrations. A small, well-planned site sits near the start; a large site built to be found for dozens of searches costs more. See all our prices.

Most of our websites take about 4 to 12 weeks from the first conversation to launch. A smaller site sits at the shorter end; a larger one, where we research the searches, write every page and connect a CRM, takes longer. Waiting for content is what slows most website projects down, which is one reason we write it ourselves.

If customers ever look you up before they get in touch, yes. A recommendation gets you considered; your website is often where people decide whether to call. For most established businesses the real question isn’t whether you need a website, but whether the one you have is doing that job.

Make the next step obvious and easy. Put a clear call to action on every page, show proof near it, cut anything that slows the site down on a phone, and keep forms short. Then add tracking so you can see which pages produce enquiries and where people give up, and fix those pages first.

Look at sites they’ve built and ask what those sites do for the business, not just how they look. Ask who writes the copy, who owns the website and domain afterwards, how they protect your search rankings during a redesign, and what happens after launch. A good one asks about your customers before it asks about colours.

Will the site be planned around what our customers search for? Who writes the content? Will we own the website and the domain? How will enquiries be tracked? What happens to our Google rankings when the old site goes? What does support cost after launch? The answers tell you whether you’re buying a website or a brochure.

Not if the move is planned. We map every old page that ranks or has links pointing to it, redirect each one to its new equivalent, carry over what’s working and watch Search Console after launch. Rankings can wobble briefly after any redesign; planning keeps the wobble small and short.
