Accessibility statement

Last updated: 10/10/2026

We want everyone to be able to use DC Digital’s website, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement covers dcdigital.uk. It does not cover other websites we link to, including sendiq.co.uk.

1. The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. These are the internationally recognised guidelines for making websites accessible to disabled people.

2. What we have done

  • Motion you can control. If your device is set to reduce motion, our website turns off its introduction, page transitions and moving effects, and rotating words change with a simple fade instead. Our rotating words each have a pause button. The small animated illustrations in the services section of our home page play briefly when they appear, then stop on their own within a few seconds.
  • Keyboard access. You can use the whole website with a keyboard, and every link, button and field shows a clearly visible focus outline. On your first visit the cookie banner is the first thing the Tab key reaches; after that, a “Skip to main content” link lets you jump past the navigation. The mobile menu keeps your focus inside it until you close it with the Escape key.
  • Real text. Our large “DC /” lettering is decorative and hidden from screen readers; the same meaning is always given in real text beside it. Text is not presented as images.
  • Clear structure. Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order, and our breadcrumbs show where you are.
  • Forms. Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and if something needs fixing we explain what, next to the field, and list the problems at the top of the form. Form fields have clearly visible borders.
  • Colour and contrast. Our text, focus outlines and form field borders meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Works without JavaScript. Every page can be read in full with JavaScript switched off, and our forms can still be sent.
  • Zoom and small screens. The website adapts to small screens and to zooming in up to 400%.

3. Known limitations

We have not yet tested our website with screen readers or with disabled users. We will, and we will update this statement when we have.

If you find any part of our website hard to use, please tell us (see section 5), even if it is not listed here.

4. Our free website audit report

We send free website audits as a PDF by email. If you need the report in a different format, tell us and we will do our best to provide it.

5. Tell us about a problem

If you find something on our website hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us:

Tell us the web address of the page and what the problem is. We reply within 24 hours, weekends included, and will tell you what we will do about it.

6. How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 05/10/2026 against WCAG 2.2 level AA by DC Digital. We used automated checks (axe-core) on every page at desktop and mobile sizes, with and without the cookie banner showing. We tested keyboard-only use of every page in Chrome at sizes from a small phone to a large desktop screen and at 200% zoom, on a first visit with the cookie banner showing and after a cookie choice, moving both forwards and backwards. We checked that the focus outline could be seen at every stop, and that every link a page can show can be reached. We also checked the website at 320 pixels wide, zoomed to 200% and 400%, with wider text spacing, with reduced motion and with JavaScript switched off. It has not yet been tested with a screen reader or by disabled users.

We review this statement whenever we make significant changes to the website, and at least once a year.

Tell us what you need. We’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.
