Construction

Construction marketing that helps the right buyers find you, and goes out to the ones who don’t know you yet.

For contractors, specialists, suppliers and built-environment firms that sell to other businesses: main contractors, developers, property teams and public sector estates. It’s the sector where our client case studies sit.

DC Digital helps construction companies and built-environment firms win work beyond referrals and tenders. SendIQ approaches the main contractors, developers and property teams who should know you; websites, SEO and social media make sure they find something convincing when they look you up. Our construction clients include CSF Building Contractors, Mr Gates and MG Group, and Madisons Commercial Solutions.

Businesses we have worked with

The problems we fix

“Our work comes through referrals and tenders, and that’s it.”

What we do

Approach the companies and property teams that buy what you do, directly, alongside the tenders.

What changes

A second route to new work, and one you control.

“Our projects are impressive. Our website isn’t.”

What we do

A website and social presence built from your real projects, photographed and written up properly.

What changes

Buyers see the quality of the work before they meet you.

“The buyers who matter have never heard of us.”

What we do

Work out exactly who buys or specifies your work (main contractors, public sector property teams, developers) and reach them by name.

What changes

The people who award the work know who you are.

Marketing for construction companies, job by job

Finding customers

SendIQ outbound

Reaching main contractors, developers and public sector property teams directly. For CSF Building Contractors, that meant a researched campaign to decision-makers in NHS Property Services.

Content built from your sites and your people, photographed and filmed by us. For Madisons Commercial Solutions, one project in Billericay became a run of posts on the layout, the steelwork, the lighting and the finishes.

CSF Building Contractors / Outbound campaign

SendIQ outbound · Construction

Construction · SendIQ outbound

A researched campaign to decision-makers in NHS Property Services.

Challenge

New business relied on relationships and referrals.

What we did

Defined the audience, built and checked the list, wrote the sequence and sorted the replies.

Mr Gates / A new website

Website · Brand · Audience research

Gates, barriers and architectural metalwork · Website, brand refinement, audience research · 2026

Researched, wrote and built mrgates.co.uk, and worked out who could buy from MG Group.

The mrgates.co.uk homepage on a desktop screen.

Challenge

A business working across gates, barriers and architectural metalwork that needed its website and brand to show the breadth and quality of the work, and a clearer way to reach larger commercial customers.

What we did

Planned the site around what customers search for, wrote it, built it on WordPress, refined the MG Group brand and set out which companies could buy or specify the work.

Result

mrgates.co.uk launched in September 2026, and the business has a working view of who to approach next.

Madisons / Project content

Social media · Content

Construction and fit-out · Social media, content · Ongoing since 2022

Turned real building projects into a steady supply of social content.

Challenge

Substantial, skilled projects that looked ordinary online.

What we did

Broke each build into its stories (the kitchen, the steelwork, the lighting, the finishes, the people) and planned content around them.

Result

A bigger, better organised library of project content, and the workmanship finally visible.

Websites for construction companies

A construction company’s website has a harder job than most. It has to convince a buyer, a developer or a specifier that you can be trusted with a project worth far more than the website ever cost. So good website design for construction companies starts with the projects: real photography, clear services and sectors, the accreditations you actually hold, and an easy way to start a conversation.

Mr Gates is a good example. It works across gates, barriers and architectural metalwork, and the new site we researched, wrote and built at mrgates.co.uk launched in September 2026. Read the Mr Gates case study, or see our website design and development, from £999 plus VAT.

Property and the built environment

Not every built-environment firm lays bricks. Fit-out firms, fire safety specialists, facilities providers and suppliers all sell to the same fairly small group of buyers: property managers, developers, main contractors and public sector estates teams. Those buyers can be identified, which means they can be reached.

When we worked out who could buy from MG Group, for example, we separated direct customers from the people who specify, influence and refer work: architects, quantity surveyors, facilities managers and property developers among them. That kind of map is where commercial property marketing should start, and it’s what lets outreach, search and your website all aim at the same people. See how we do it for B2B service firms more widely.

Questions about construction marketing

The marketing that reaches the people who award or specify the work. For most construction firms that means three things working together: going directly to the main contractors, developers and property teams who buy what you do; a website and social presence that show real projects; and being easy to find when those buyers check you out. Referrals still matter; they just stop being the only route.

Yes. Our construction clients include a building contractor, a gates and architectural metalwork specialist, a fit-out and refurbishment firm and a scaffolding company. Specialists and suppliers often get the most from outbound, because their buyers are a known, finite group that can be found and approached by name.

Yes, that’s what SendIQ does. We identify the organisations that buy or specify your work, find the right decision-makers in each and approach them with researched messages.
